The Italian Project 1b

The Italian Project 1b è il secondo di quattro livelli di un moderno corso multimediale di italiano. Si rivolge a studenti adolescenti e adulti (livello A2 del Quadro Comune Europeo di Riferimento per le Lingue - Elementary).

È l’edizione per studenti anglofoni in due volumi di Nuovo Progetto italiano 1. Infatti, le consegne delle attività e le note all’interno delle tabelle grammaticali sono in inglese e i testi di Conosciamo l’Italia sono accompagnati da un glossario italiano-inglese. Infine, completano il manuale la Grammar Appendix e le Grammar notes in inglese e il Glossary italiano-inglese con la traduzione di tutti i termini e le espressioni dello Student’s book e del Workbook.  The Italian Project 1b contiene la versione aggiornata del Workbook, in cui le attività rispecchiano sempre la suddivisione per sezioni dello Student’s book e l’organizzazione dei rimandi al suo interno. Altre caratteristiche:

• layout interamente a colori e nuove illustrazioni funzionali agli esercizi;
• approccio a spirale: in questo modo, strutture e parole incontrate in unità precedenti vengono sistematicamente riprese in quelle successive;
• maggiore varietà di tecniche didattiche;
• una o due nuove attività di reimpiego, per ogni unità, sulle funzioni lessicali e comunicative;
• viene evitata la ripetizione e, utilizzando spesso materiale autentico, gli esercizi sono contestualizzati;
• le attività video (degli “episodi”) sono ora poste al termine di ogni unità per integrare meglio il video (Nuovo Progetto italiano Video) alle altre risorse che compongono il corso;
• l’edizione aggiornata degli esercizi è disponibile anche in versione interattiva sulla piattaforma i-d-e-e.

 

The Italian Project 1b is the second of four levels of a modern multimedia Italian course for teenage and adult students (Elementary – A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).

It is the English version in two volumes of Nuovo Progetto Italiano 1. In fact, the instructions of the exercises and the notes inside the grammar tables are in English while the texts of Conosciamo l’Italia are accompanied by an Italian-English glossary. The book is completed by the Grammar Appendix and the Grammar notes (both in English) and by the Italian-English Glossary with the translation of all the words and expressions of the Student’s book and Workbook. The Italian Project 1b contains the updated version of the workbook, where the activities always reflect the subdivision in sections of the students’ book and the organization of its references. Other characteristics:  

• full colour layout and new functional illustrations accompanying the exercises;
• a ‘spiral’ approach, which sees structures and words that students have met in previous units regularly re-introduced in subsequent units;
• a greater variety of teaching techniques;
• one or two revision activities per unit focusing on lexical and communicative functions;
• repetition is avoided and, by using authentic material, the exercises are contextualised;
• the video activities (video “episodes”) are now found at the end of each unit so that the video material (Nuovo Progetto italiano Video) fits in better with the other resources that make up the course;
• the updated edition of the exercises is also available in interactive format on the i-d-e-e platform too.
